Is this good? First Time hearing KISS and I'm not sure what to think.
For a few years now, I've heard a lot about KISS and have been told of their legacy within the realm of Rock. I even recognize some of the face paint, though I've never heard their sound before. I'm going in blind, and realized early on that there's two camps here: those that love KISS, and those that loathe them. Which camp will I be in?

I can't stop crying. First time hearing While She Sleeps performing "To The Flowers" and I'm broken.

Never have I needed to refilm an intro to a video. I came into this knowing there was going to be some emotion and triggers, but this wrecked me. First Time Hearing Steely Dan. Vocal ANALYSIS of "Do It Again" and I want to Do It Again!
Просмотров 107 тыс.12 часов назад
I've never heard Steely Dan before, and had absolutely no idea how big they were until some of our most recent classic rock videos produced your suggestions. Looking into it, this performance uses a plastic organ and an electric sitar. How do they integrate those two into "Do It Again"? I don't know, but I hope they do it again and again in future analyses. This was so much fun! Join profession...
Hozier's new track "Too Sweet" is like ear candy! Vocal ANALYSIS of his new hit single!

Hozier's "Take Me To Church" is one of my all time favorite songs to come out of the last decade, and some of the amazing covers that have been done have let that song continue to live on towards infamy. So when he dropped a new single last month that's already reach number 1 on the top 100 on Billboard, it was no surprise for that to happen, and no shocker for me to want to listen to it for th...

Along with Earth Wind & Fire, one of the tightest groups in the history of rock, one of the most thoughtful musically, and certainly the most demanding of their session musicians. Can't believe you never heard them before! Their album "Aja" is considered their masterpiece, and one of the best produced albums of all time.

I won't knock them, they worked their butts off, but for people like me who fell in love with The Clash (they deserve a listen to the entire London Calling double album to really appreciate them) , Kiss was the opposite of what I was looking for. So maybe it's all just a matter of taste.

Ian Astbury is hugely influenced by Jim Morrison's performances. So much so he played with Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and Stuart Copeland as a version of the Doors in the early aughts. Danzig has this influence as well. That may be part of the similarities you see. Love The Cult, they need to be celebrated more!

I'm continually astounded by the CHOICES made for the songs on this channel. Again and again, I see songs and performances chosen apparently because they were the 'hits' rather than to showcase the vocals. Paul's best vocal performance is probably "I Still Love You" from UNPLUGGED 30yrs ago. Elizabeth likes 'yodelers' like Greta Van Fleet. She should check out Paul's live yodeling. BTW, Paul did PHANTOM OF THE OPERA about 25yrs ago.

I'm glad you did this! KISS is my favorite rock band, that being said I don't really think this is the best representation of them because Paul doesn't usually sing this song this way and also they don't normally play this fast either, they played faster with the drummer here(Eric Carr), normally when Paul sings this he holds the notes out longer and he can be alittle more dynamic with his voice. You should definitely check out more of their music, I Was Made For Loving You is a great song by them and also Sure Know Something. They are just awesome performers and put on a great show and I think all of them have great singing voices as well!

In his day Paul Stanley was one of the best voices in rock music. He was at his best during the mid-80s, his range increasing quite a bit. His voice started going in the late 2000s...he had a couple of vocal chord surgeries to try to prolong things, but that only gave him a few more years. I'm pretty sure that's why they finally retired. Several people have pointed to "I Still Love You" from the unplugged show, and that is good, yeah, but I'd also say check out some stuff from his 2006 solo tour, particularly "Tonight You Belong to Me". Good stuff.

Definitely not the best song to introduce yourself to KISS. Are they one of the greatest Rock Bands ever? Mmmm.. well... maybe not "greatest". But they did put out decent music... now and then. "Forever" is one of their ballads. "I Love It Loud" is definitely one of my favorite KISS songs "I was Made for Loving You" might be one of their best known. KISS never really made it onto my playlist, but I had friends who enjoyed them back in our teenage days. Any of the 3 are better places to start deciding if you want to know more. But, I'm guessing you will find them.. average.

Remember, their whole shtick and purpose was to be Anti-Glam, so yelling at the mic was one way they expressed that anti-Glamism And come on, if you were a rebellious teenager in a world of disco and glam, you were their target audience.
